About the event
Embark on a celestial adventure as you look through some of the largest mobile telescopes in Tucson at our immersive monthly stargazing events! Â
Targets include: Comet ATLAS, Saturn, the Milky Way, nebulae, galaxies and more!
Our team Reach for the Stars nonprofit warmly invites you to our public stargazing events. We are now holding over 24 of these free events per year, free to you! These nights are more than just observing the sky; they are a celebration of the universe and our place within it, bring awe and curiosity to all who attend. Whether you like astronomy or not, you'll find yourself wondering about space and time as we gaze upon the deep-space wonders of our Galaxy and beyond!
Event Highlights:
Experience the night sky like never before using our top-of-the-line, massive "time machines" aka monster telescopes and binoculars.
LIVE Astrophotography shown on the big screen! Live images of galaxies, nebulae and  more through the telescope with the help of specail cameras.
Bring cash or card - Gifts and gadgets available for purchase, and your always welcome to donate to our cause!
Family-Friendly Atmosphere: A perfect event for all ages to learn, gaze, and get inspired. Games and activities for youth. There's something for everyone!
Astronomy Gurus: Our passionate volunteers will guide you through the constellations, planets, Solar system and deep sky objects - ask questions! Be curious!
Event Essentials:
Date & Time: Begins at sunset. Check the local sunset time for each month’s event.
Location: Announced monthly (follow our social media for updates - Linked Below).
What to Bring: Warm clothing (especially in winter), a portable chair or blanket for comfort, and your sense of wonder!
Weather Considerations: Dress according to the weather forecast, and check our social media for any last-minute weather-related updates.
